Now that it is colder outside we have to remember hydrating the skin inside and out. Drink plenty of water! So many times we forget to drink water in the winter months because it is not warm outside. We think of a nice tall glass of ice water to cool us off on a warm beautiful day or after activities outside. In the winter months you need to just be more conscience of the amount you drink especially if you have dry skin and/or drink a lot of caffeine. You will be surprised at how much less you drink. It is recommended that you should drink half your body weight of water every day. Some times that is very difficult so try adding a hot herbal tea. My favorite Capital Teas Fountain of Youth Acai. It is delicious.
Try taking less showers in the winter months and avoid long hot baths. Use soap only wear you need it. Most soaps dry out your skin so look for ingredients like Shea Butter to moisturize your skin. At night take a few moments to moisturize your skin well with a heavier cream or oil. As silly as it may sounds wear cotten socks to bed on your feet and hands. It really does work!
